With the rapid development of automatic guided vehicle (AGV), various navigation methods and technologies have emerged, such as magnetic stripe navigation, magnetic nail navigation, visual navigation, laser navigation, fluorescent navigation, SLAM navigation, etc. Usually, AGVs are controlled by computers, and the activity area does not require fixed devices such as tracks and support frames. Therefore, their driving path can be flexibly changed according to different needs, and is not limited by the site, roads, and space.

The application of overall AGV is also rapidly deepening and laying out in the manufacturing process, accelerating the replacement of traditional low value-added activities that rely on people to be responsible for production, logistics, and transportation. Reduce manual and operational losses; Save time and shorten personnel allocation; It can also enter and exit places that are inconvenient for people to enter, so high torque AGVs are more popular in the market and widely used in factories and markets.

In July 2013, Mr. Robert, who works in the food manufacturing industry in the United States, came to us and told us that they needed a high torque, low speed DC motor. As their company had already found several suppliers, none of them could meet their requirements, they turned their attention to Chinese motor manufacturers.

Considering the usage of the AGV vehicle, the actual weight and running time of the goods, as well as the raw materials required for the motor and reducer, our entire technical team had three meetings with the customer team in the United States, and ultimately resolved their needs.

We have adopted a different 12mm motor front cover thickness from the past, modified all internal dimensions, thickened the entire front cover plate to 29mm, and added 12 additional mounting holes.

Due to the usage characteristics of AGV cars, the instantaneous torque of the motor is large, and the output shaft should be strong enough to require material hardness. Therefore, we use quenching technology to ensure the hardness of the motor output shaft. In addition, the internal winding structure and pole number of the motor have been optimized and adjusted, and repeated testing and verification have been carried out to ensure sufficient instantaneous torque.

The AGV car is used in combination with batteries, so it will test the efficiency of the motor and the coordination of the rotor, stator, bearings, housing, and reducer components, with strict requirements for the tolerance dimensions of all parts;

Through our internal design optimization, the motor is equipped with Hall sensors. Customers can directly control the running speed of the motor through the driver, remove the encoder, not only achieve functional use, but also save costs.

The gears of the gearbox are made of metal rolling gears, and the lubricating oil of the gearbox is of a relatively high grade, which effectively solves the noise problem of the gearbox.

In short, our efficient and rapid discussions and communication were very effective, quickly resolving Mr. Robert's concerns and achieving a consensus on long-term cooperation.
